THE STORY
Bến Tre → Seattle
Born Nguyễn Hoài Sơn in a rice-farming village outside Bến Tre, deep in the Mekong Delta. Raised by his bà ngoại on water buffalo, jackfruit trees, and bowls of phở at sunrise. No internet at home till he was 11.
Family moved to Seattle at 13 — Beacon Hill, Little Saigon. Learned English off skate videos and burned Nirvana CDs from a thrift shop on Rainier Ave. Found Judkins Park, found a Jazzmaster, never looked back.
Dropped out of Seattle Central to chase music. Lives in a Georgetown warehouse loft now — Tascam 388, Big Muff, a beat-up '02 Tacoma with a board in the bed. Studio mornings, skate afternoons, ramen + Dragon Raja nights.
